Veronica: Choosing a look to wear when you see your ex is always more stressful
than dressing for the first date. Hi I’m Veronica at WatchMojo.com and
today we’re shopping with stylist Alexandra for some looks to wear when
you see your ex-boyfriend.
Now what’s the first thing we want to consider when we’re choosing an
outfit to wear when we see our ex.
Alexandra Melancon: (BeSleek Fashio Stylist) I think knowing your objective is very
important so if you’re still with him and are interested dress to impress but
if you’re not interested you don’t want to send the wrong message and
play hard to get and nothing says that you have moved on like a colorful
playful dress so a little bit of color with a graphic print which is in the
season right now and you look fabulous, feminine like you have moved
on.
Veronica: And what should we avoid?
Alexandra: One thing you don’t want to do is over do it. So you don’t want too much
with accessories. You don’t want to show too much skin and you want to
keep it proper, sophisticated and playful. This our playful look it’s as sexy
as you can go. It’s a miniskirt but still very sheek because of the because
of the silky blouse with some of these. You don’t have to add accessories
and the cardigan takes it from too sheek from a little more casual.
Veronica: When you’re ready to go out the door. How do you make sure you haven’t
over done it or under done it as well?
Alexandra: Well first of all if you’re making an effort you’re probably going to be not
under doing it but you have to ask in front of the mirror. Oh my god is it
too much it probably is so be careful. Instead of doing jeans and a t-shirt
we wanted to do something a little more sophisticated so we went with a
blouse that is transparent somewhat shear which is also very happening
right now but we paired it with a cardigan to make sure it was still very
proper and not too revealing. It’s perfect for an ex encounter.
Veronica: Now what’s the best way to complete your look when it comes to makeup
accessories on your hair?
Alexandra: Accessories, the rule is basically the same so you accessorize according to
your outfit. Make up you go natural with the hair you don’t go for a hair
cut but one thing that is a good tick is you if you change your shampoo a
little subtle details like the smell of someone’s hair is very personal and
they probably know it consciously or unconsciously and they will see the
difference.
Veronica: And what’s the most important thing for people to remember when they’re
seeing their ex?
Alexandra: You have to keep these events simple. Remember it’s not a date so you
want to maybe do lunch, brunch or coffee at four, don’t go for an evening
event the dinner and movie, it might be a little confusing for the other part.
