Hillary Kerr: Every year without fail we get tons of emails from readers wanting to know what to wear on New Year's Eve.
Katherine Power: Since everyone needs a little inspiration, let's check out a few of our favorite runway shows before we create our own New Year's Eve look.
Female Speaker: Stella McCartney showed a classic option with a short strapless dress in black and gold.
Proenza Schouler showed a shimmery gold skirt paired with the slightly oversize jacket, black tights and a simple black sweater.
And finally, we loved the cropped blazers and textured minis we saw on the Chloé
runways.
Katherine Power: A sparkling party dress is always a great option, but this year why not try something a little less expected, like a silky pair of pants or even a sequined skirt.
Hillary Kerr: New Year's Eve is the best time to try an intense beauty look, like a bold red lip, or even a super smoky eye .
Katherine Power: Our first look is the quintessential New Year's Eve outfit. It's a little dress with some sheen and some sexy shoes.
Hillary Kerr: Traditional warmth we added some black tights which also happened to contrast nicely with the gold dress. We also chose some pacific accessories like this bright blue bag and a sparkly cocktail ring.
Katherine Power: Our second look is a little less traditional. We found this sequined skirt from Mint, and had it wear with a Plain White Tank by Kain
As for accessories we chose these lace-up boots, and an oversize pattern leather bow clutch.
