Sass N Style with Amy Salinger
Daly Style Tips-www.sassnstyle.com
Amy: Hello and welcome to this episode of Sass N Style with me Amy Salinger.
Today, we are doing a Valentine’s Day episode. I’m lucky enough to have
my married friends come and help me out on this episode. I’m going to do
outfits for each of them. They actually volunteered. Everybody wants to
be in Sass N Style and don’t forget I will have tips right up and tell them
all different styles every single day at Sass N Style.com so let’s put
together some outfits.
Valentine’s Day Couple’s Style
Amy: So here we are with my lovely couple of friends. Hi! They what are what I
like to call casual home bodies, they like to be relaxed, they like to be easy
going so they’re not necessarily dressing up in a fufu gown everyday of
their lives. Are you guys ready to show the world the outfits that we went
together?
Tammy: Absolutely.
Jay: Yes, we are.
Amy: Alright Jake you’re first up, are you ready Jack?
Jay I’m ready.
Amy: Well you’re obviously ready because you’re halfway into the outfit.
Okay, how was your shopping experience with me? Remember I’m
standing right here when you answer.

Jay: The shopping experience was the easiest shopping experience I have ever
had. I am not kidding we just went in and she just ran around the racks and
was like oh look at this, look at this boom and then we got this, easy and
cheap too.
Amy: We’ll leave easy and cheap alone and say that it only has to do with the
shopping, thank you very much Jack.
Jay: Only the shopping.
Amy: Everybody wants to look good men, women it doesn’t matter. Men just
have a lot more trouble focusing for a long period of time on putting
together an outfit so put it all together for you to make it as easy as
possible.
We needed something that was more like I’m going on a dinner date so the
first thing I got was these darker pair of jeans. If you can lift this up, thank
you. We just show— we don’t have things hanging out. Your fly is open
Jay [Laughs].
We have this great jean. They’re properly fitted, guys stop wearing jeans
that are too loose on you. Your clothes should fit you properly. The other
thing that we wanted was I wanted to get him a fun button down and in
this situation all that means is now you got to buy one belt to go with the
fine shirt.
We got him what I refer to as a cool belt. I was like Jay, “What belts do
you have?” And he’s like, “Oh I got these.” And I’m like, “Yeah those are
work belts.” You know the difference by the buckle and by the leather to
be a little bit distress if it’s just your typical you know square rectangular
buckle it’s probably not a cool belt by Amy Salinger’s standards.
The velvet blazer is very in this season for men, because I kept it basic in
the color I was able to make the shirt a little bit more fun and pick more
feminine colors such as eggplant. Hold’s on to your cuffs because this will
be important right now. Pull the cuff a little bit longer and have it coming
out just a little bit then— don’t you love how you get to pull everything
off. Pull out the collar. I like that it’s a hard bold collar. I love it. It’s kind
of a slick black shoe and what I did by tying in two pieces of black items.
The shoes and the belt, I made it appropriate to wear with brown. Are we
ready to get Tammy dressed up.
Jay: Yeah, let’s make her ready.
Amy: Let’s bring her in.
What was the terminology you used my dear for your style?
Tammy: I call it conservative schick.
Amy: Conservative schick. A lot of turtlenecks, you’re very comfortable like
that and that’s totally fine, but Tammy has this great curvy cute little body
and it’s like Valentine’s Day. Let’s give Jay something to look at.
Obviously we still have a turtle neck going on here so she’s still in her
comfort zone but it’s a sexy turtleneck dress. It’s made out of satin
material. It’s form fitting where did you get it?
Tammy: I got it at the outlet.
Amy: And how much was it originally?
Tammy: It’s a little over $200 and only paid $40 for it.
Amy: Got to love a good deal.
There’s a lot of people out there who don’t even realize at a certain point
that they could actually look better if they tailored things a little bit more
appropriately. This dress is a pencil-style dress. It’s meant to be more
fitted. It needs to be pegged in the middle and more specifically it needs to
be the proper length. The tailoring actually I know is about $60. Factor it
in, its part of the dresses cost right at the beginning.
I’ve added, instead of doing a classic heel, I got it an opaque tight and
sleek black pointed toe boot. Number one, because she own both of them
but also keeps the bottom a lot sleeker and a lot more vampy. This is a—
belt. It’s absolutely beautiful, it’s great leather. It’s a pop of funk in the
middle of her outfit.
Forever 21 www.forever21.com
I had this little cardigan it’s actually from Forever 21. I have had it for like
3 years and I love it. Gold woven into it to pull out the gold in the belt and
most important thing it’s croft at the waist. You don’t want ever to have
too many different lengths going on around your waist because then
you’re not getting this nice curvy womanly feel.
She was a little bit hesitant to buy these but I still strongly stand by the,
it’s a little— because you can’t have it be too big with the turtle neck
collar. I purposely put her hair in a high pony with a little puff at the top.
The final thing is that my beautiful Satrine Antique ring. I am going to
lend this too her because I have complete faith in her.
Tammy: I’m going to keep it.
Amy: She claims that I’m not going to get it back but it is a beautiful real Satrine
ring and she has a great engagement ring and wedding bound that Jay gave
her. He’s such a wonderful husband. Let’s see if I ever get any of this
back. She’s claiming she’s taking the ring from me. We’ll find out.
Tammy: I completely love it.
Amy: You look beautiful my darling.
Tammy: Thank you it’s all thanks to you.
