How to Eat Well Over 50

Hi, I am Barry of Rosenthal and I live on Martha’s vineyard at Edgartown, Massachusetts to be exact. I own An ad agency, a national ad agency called BR Creative. You can check it out at brcreative.com and I also own a night club at Martha’s vineyard called Outer Landy, which is used to call the Hot Roof and do not ask me why. I am Barry Rosenthal and I am here to talk about eating well over 50 and I know because I am over 50. One of the tips actually my brother gave me was, never finish your whole plate even if you leave one bite on your plate. It is a psychological thing and that will help you keep your weight down. It works for me. The other thing is that a lot of medications and a lot of supplements. I often take Omega which is fish oil. There are vitamins galor and then of course there are pharmaceuticals to help you keep your cholesterol down which is not helping you eat better, but it actually helps you eat unhealthier, but they keep you alive longer with the different statins. But I think no exercise is the key. Keeping your metabolism up. There is, of course, nothing wrong with organic food that eliminates a lot of the chemicals and additives and lots of vegetables, lots of fiber to keep you energy to running because eating healthy is really important especially when you get over 50.
