Windows movie maker is a video editing software program that comes pre-loaded on most PCs. When does movie maker is easy to use but will probably appear very confusing at first glance. To get started using windows movie maker, first think of your screen as being divided in to four windows. Each window functions independently. You click from one window to the other, to the other, to the other in order to edit and make things happen. The first window has commands and links. The second shows your clips, transitions and effects. The third section works much like a miniature TV and the fourth which takes up the entire bottoms half of the screen is where all your actual editing take place. This is called the time line.
The time line is to the video editor what canvasses to the painter. It is where you can post your movie. Here on the time line, you can see how each clip relates to the whole story. The time line section can also be viewed in story board form. To build your movie, work horizontally in the time line filling it up with video clips, music, titles, transitions and effects. To add something, simply drag it into your time line and place it in the right section. Edit your story from beginning to end left to right. You can jump around and change things at any point. When you are done, export it as a single file, this mixes all of your media together as a finish movie and then you can share it with others or upload it to the web.
There, it was not that easy. Thanks for watching. For videoproductiontips.com, I am Lorraine Grula.
