How to Embellish a G chord

Let’s take a simple G-chord strum. We’ll add a little embellishment to it and make it more creative.

Let’s break this down into real short pieces and make it easy to play. The first little section is going to be a hammer on with my second finger.

I’m going to hammer on and pick then the open G-string.

I now take my second finger and slide up; I’m sliding up into the notes that are in the G-bar chord.

These three notes are part of the G-chord. So I’m sliding up to the G-chord.

And then just going to simply walk back down.

Slide down.

In the open G.

Back in the G-chord.

That’s it.
