Hey, if you want to chat with your friends on aMSN and you want to use a webcam with it too, there’s this program in Ubuntu, it’s called aMSN. Basically, that’s the only program I know that it has a webcam support. All of the ones like Pidgin, this only does text and stuff, that’s all. But if you want to chat with your friends with your webcam and stuff, you need to install aMSN and just go in the Add and Remove. It is going to get it and then when you got it up ans working, you need to got to Account and then you go to Preference alright.
And once you go to Preference, you see the screen over here. And all you got to do is over here is you go to Others tab. And when you go down here where it says Audio and Video Settings and click on Edit. And the screen should pop up right here. And what you do is just follow the screen of what it says to do. So, you click the next and then you see the screen. And you choose your device over here. My webcam doesn’t really work well with this thing. I only see like darkness but your cam might be different because mine is pretty old, like in the 90s. And yeah, just choose the settings and then you just click Next right here. And usually, just click Next and make sure your webcam is on of course and not close off anyhow.
And you have a mic, you can test the volume here and your device here and just click Next. And this is another test thing. It says I see we have microphone and stuff. Just do all the settings unless you’re done and finished. And now, you can share with your friends what the—right here was just an Action menu. It says Action and it says what kind of shit, webcam or receive webcam. That’s all you got to do. So, check it out if you need it.
