Male: What if one trick to your kid’s routine could help them to do better in class and keep their weight steady?
Female: Believe it or not, one trick can do all of that and it is simply ensuring your kids get a well balanced breakfast every morning. Forty percent of children do not and that is bad news because study show that kids do not consume the missed nutrients later. Breakfast eaters do better in Math and Reading at school. They also have reduced blood pressure and less chance of developing diabetes.
Unfortunately, a donut is not the nutritional powerhouse that kids need. Instead, try one of these fun ideas. Make a banana dog with peanut butter, a banana and raisins and a wholegrain bun. A breakfast taco is a corn tortilla filled with low fat cheese and top with salsa. Or, try the old stand by of wholegrain cereal, milk and berries. Whatever your children eat, just make sure they do. They do not call it the most important meal of the day for nothing.
