How to Enter Data in Excel 2007

In this video, I’ll be giving you some tips on how to enter basic data into Excel. When you're ready to enter data into a cell, just simply click on the cell with your mouse where you’d like to enter the data. You’ll see that cell is highlighted by a dark black thick line. Okay, meaning that is active and it’s ready to go. So go ahead in with your keyboard, we’ll type in a number this time, and you’ll see you have the blinking cursor and that means that it’s ready to accept data to the enter, okay. So we are finished entering this data into the cell. This is all we want. We have two options here. With our keyboard, we can press the enter key that will enter the data and it will bring the active cell to the cell below the one we were just sawn. We can also enter text into our cells. Let’s say that we want to go to the cell to the right, not the cell below. To do that, we’re going to press the tab key on our keyboard and will be taken to the right cell. Now, when you're not entering data, when you're just moving around your document, you can also use the arrow keys to move to the different cells.
