Aerobic exercise helps to increase the number of calories burned and also to increase the amount of blood sugar that is taking into the cells via insulin.

Those with Type Two Diabetes should also combine their exercise program with an aerobic exercise with a strength training component. Strength training helps to increase muscle mass and also helps to increase the amount of calories burned throughout the day. Flexibility is also an important part of any exercise program.
