Amy Mac: Its flu season, its flu season. You are washing your hands and coughing into your sleeve, but what else could you be doing to keep yourself flu free. Hey, everybody. I’m Amy Mac and in today’s fit life we are talking about fighting the flu. Now, nobody wants to get sick and then here we are in the middle of flu season. And you’ve heard all the trick is to wash your hands and sing happy birthday to make sure you get all those germs. Is just to cough and sneeze into your elbow to contain the germ, but did you know that there is list of foods that you can eat that would help to keep you flu free while I’m going to list my top three.
The first one we’ve got is antioxidants. These can be found in green tea and garlic and these help to keep those germs from getting the best of you.
Number two Vitamin C, now this can be found in berries, oranges, broccoli and spinach. Now studies are still out as to whether vitamin C can actually prevent you from getting sick. But what they have found is that by taking vitamin C when you are in sick, it’ll help to reduce the severity in the link of your illness. That’s part of that nothing, right? Alright.
Number three is Zinc. Now this helps to boost your immune system and it can be found in main meats. Now you can find all of these in supplements, but is always nice to at least try to get some of these vitamins and minerals in your food.
