Speaker: Okay, so we have our muffin pan right here, and I put some pan spray on there. Why do you think I did that?
Child: So that it won't stick.
Speaker: You just have to yell, she's so quick. So they don't stick, of course, but also, one thing that we have to do for this is create enough space in between the muffins because they are going to get really big and kind of mushroom over the top. So if we put them right next to each other, they don't get stuck together. So we want to do it in every other one kind of thing, just like that. That give muffins plenty of room to expand. Cool!
Alright so, now let's finish the batter here. Do you hear all that noise? Gosh! Alright, so we're going to put our batter. What you've said?
Child: I was just kidding in there.
Speaker: You do? Well, then you're going to be a great cook when you take after me, because I am a mess. Alright, muffin batter and guess what, we're putting fresh blueberries in here, and what happens when you put fresh blueberries, or even frozen blueberries, you want to be really gentle when you put them in because if they squish, what color the muffins are going to turn out? Blue, so we don't want blue muffins. So I am going to gently put those in there, just like that, they've already been washed and we are going mix up a little bit, but very, very soft. Watch, how I do this. Now, I lift it up, very soft, just barely mixing them in. Did you see that? And then I'll scoop them out. Okay.
Let's go over here, you guys can scoop in the muffins. Make sure that when you scoop them out, I'll give you a little muffin scooper. Make sure you get some blueberries in there too. So, essentially, we could go, we could use our hands too if you don't feel comfortable using scooper. We can just take enough of this dough nice and soft, so you don't squish the blueberries. We want to fill them pretty full. And I actually need more than this on this one, nice and full.
Once you get the scoop out of there, we will have Michael, do that. You fill that up, and Michael and I are going to cut some cookies. Good job. I'll show you how full they want to be. You can fill them pretty much to look like that. Yeah, pile it on. Alright Michael, you and I are cutting some cookies.
So I have a piece of -- this is parchment paper, this is baking paper, but I cut it a little bit big so I am going to fold it down. Have you seen parchment paper before? It helps so you don't have to do with many dishes. Okay. See, how that kind of just fits right in there. In that way, we don't have to wash so much. You didn't have a muffin filled in there. Great! Keep adding in and you want them about that big.
First one, we will cut like these, and we don't need a ton of them. Put that out of the way, so we don't need our eggs on the floor. Okay.
