How to Find Vinyl Records for Beat Mixing
On behalf of Tvlesson.com, my name is Eric Roman otherwise known as DJ Empire. Let's talk a little bit on how to find vinyl or records. These wonderful black gems are becoming more and more rare as the days go on because of the MP3 advent. They are hard to find but when you do find them they can be a diamond in the rough. You’ll have to go into some pretty strange places, places you wouldn’t expect yourself to be thinking you’d find vinyl. There are records stores as you can go to, locally in your neighborhoods.
There are records pools online. You would just go online and do a general search on record pools. My favorite places to go are thrift shops where they collect all sorts of goodies and hidden in the dusty, dusty corners of those thrift shops you’ll find some beautiful records. One of the ones that I found was my original copy of Empire Strikes Back which is sort of like my theme some so I was in heaven when I found it. I was like a kid in a candy sore. So ever since that day I always like to poke my head into my local thrift shop and just finger through somebody else’s thrash because it can be your treasure.
Vinyls are rare, it is a collectible and it’s getting harder and harder to find stores that sell original pressings of music that you might not be able to find now because they stop making it 20 or 30 years ago. You can find great disco records in your thrift stores as you can go into a record pool and have singles that you wouldn’t imagine where made. That you didn’t know we’re made because you don’t hear them on the radio. The beautiful thing about records is that it’s always an adventure when you’re looking for them. So be sure that when you are looking for a Vinyl, you go to unusual places, you might find something you’d like.
This has been DJ Empire, thanks for watching.
