How to Find and Register a New Domain Website Name

Okay, in this video I'm going to show you how to find in such of your own domain name. So you’ve got your own website name for your new blog or website. Okay, what on the right side you can see there's option to select currency so you can look at US dollar or the British pound or which ever is the best for you. Just select the one you want to use. In this example we’re going to use the US dollar.
Once you’ve done that type in the domain name that you’d like to register. In this example I'm going to try mywebsite.com. Once you done that click go and it will search and see if that’s available. Right, okay this one isn’t available so what we’re going to have to do now is select our second favorite. What you need is a list of alternative just to make sure you find when that is available, so for now type in myacewebsite.com.
Oh, by the way here on the right here you can choose different extensions .com, .net, .info, .org or .uk. In this example we're going to go for .com. Okay, so now search in, right okay, you can see now there's a green check and that’s available so we’ll register that domain.
Now, you’ve got an option here of in so when you actual select .co or .uk or .net basically go that it really go to try to sell you extra products but for now all we need to do is select the .com. if we scroll down that came in often lots of more alternative names. Right, we’ll now click proceed to check out. Now again, what go that your trying to do just selling more services my products but basically we just need to go down here and click continue to check out and ignore a lot.
All right now let's go to search page where it asking for registration information. If you got in it existing account with them you can click here to log in to your existing account. But I'm guessing most people watching this probably going to open a new account. So what we do is click the button bellow just is already clicked which basically says and I'd like to create a new GoDaddy.com account.
The next section basically is just asking for your name, email address, company name if you’ve got one. You’re actually home address or business address and your country and state and zip code or post code and finally its asking for your telephone number. So what I'll do now put an info and click continue and see you in the next page. GoDaddy now brought us to a page which is basically just to confirm the details within just to make sure they're correct. That’s called the domain registration information page.
What we need to do is just scroll down and click continues. Okay, just to so you can see they're trying to sell us similar domain names or names based on our actually name it’s quite clever but we don’t need that, so click on continue. Now it brings us to the check out options.
Okay, here in this dropped down box you’ve got the options to select how many year you’d like to register your domain for initially I just register them for one year. Okay, scroll down. Again, new software there some extra services but I don’t want to any of those. So I'm going to scroll down again and here I'm just going to click no thanks I'm ready to check out, so I'll click continue.
Now it brings us to the secure check out page and here we just need to make sure everything is being entered correctly. So just to make sure we got the right number of years. Check the total and then scroll down a bit. And here you’ve got the option of paying by credit card, check or PayPal. Normally I just use PayPal and I've got an account register with that. When you’re doing this for the first time you'll need to just stretch to the diesel of your PayPal account if you're going down not ruin.
You need to click now you’ve read all the terms and conditions here. The good idea just to check this links on, once you’ve done click Checkout now. And then what you need to do is choose you password and confirm the password, so just put in the password here confirm it below. Just retype in that and here put in the password hint some kind of question to remind what your password is. So I'm going to put as a hint my favorite car and then just below that just type in a pin number so that if you speak to somebody on the telephone they can confirm it’s definitely you that they're talking too. So this example for 1234 makes sure you choose the number which only you know. Just double check everything and when you happy you click continue with checkout. Okay and you can see the rough extra things but we don’t need those so we just click checkout, continue with checkout.
And here if you're paying by credit card you fill in your credit card details. Double check the detailed was correct. When you’re happy with that click check out now, once you click on check out now you basically then and for register that domain name in your name you control out for the amount of time you state then whether it was one year, two years or five years and after that period of time you'll have to renew the registration to make sure you can control that.
What I'll do now in the next called video I'll show you how to get into your code that account so looking to your new domain name. We’re not back in the Google so what we want to do is search for GoDaddy.com, so just type in GoDaddy and hit search and click on the link at the top and that brings us back to the main GoDaddy website. What we need to now is and try to use the name and then our password with that being give in this within the email on GoDaddy center then here it go. Click on domains then move down to my domains and now you'll find your control panel with your new website address.
Now if this brand new account you'll just stop all the address there I've actually go a few or just says open this particular GoDaddy account but you just have one and been this account you can control where that points to and then leave the html. For now we’ll leave it at that I'm going to show you how to link at your web spice and let it trust.
