How to Find the Perfect Cologne

Hi I am here with a couple of tips on how to find the perfect colognes, sniffing out that one that is just really going to stay on your mind. It is much more complicated than you think, because there are several different families or classifications as far as fragrances go and we will just touch base on a couple.

We are going to start with oriental and that is full bodied exotic scent. You will typically have spices musk and an example of that is Obsession for men, a classic and an all time favorite. You can also go green or little woodsy for those outdoorsy guy. You will have pine, juniper, smells of grass, for example Safari for men and I believe that is by Ralph Lauren. Another good one is citrus, lots of lime, lemon, and bergamot. Now, this has been historically predominant in men’s cologne; however, it is also creeping its way into women’s cologne. Now, the interesting thing about fragrance for a man and for a woman is that, it can really change once it hits your body.

So, if you can sample, please do because you never how it is going to smell once it hits your chemistry and whatever you do make sure that you spray or apply as far away as you can and really give it a couple of minutes to settle in before you actually smell it because with the initial spray it is so strong and it really does not have a chance to marry with your skin; so give it a couple of minutes, walk around, feel comfortable of getting people’s opinions, and know that once you find that correct cologne it is going to stay on someone special’s mind.
