How to Finish a Pre-Made Sunflower Bouquet

Hi! It's Sandy with Afloral and today, I’m going to show you what you can do with this sunflower bouquet. This bouquet is FVQ-585 and this is a perfect bouquet for a summer wedding or a fall wedding, and it's just a beautiful bouquet as it is. But what I’m going to do is add some of these small loops of tool around the edge and this will finish it off very nicely for you. Let me show you how to make one of this.

We have this roll of tooling which is quite beautiful and I’ve cut off a piece that’s about 12 inches long and I’m just going to fold it in half and gather the bottom of the tooling loop together. And then wrap a wire around it. This is about a 24-gauge wire, 24 or 26 gauge. It's a lightweight wire and then we’re going to use some of these floral tape, stretch it and twist it to cover the wire and the tooling. And then it looks like a regular floral stem. That’s an easy process and six of these will finish off your bouquet.

This is a nice way to cover up any artificial stems and make it look more complete. When you’re done, you just take that same floral tape and wrap it around the whole bouquet handle. If you’d like after that, you can take a little more of the tooling and wrap the handle of your bouquet. This will make something nice to hang onto and feel comfortable in your hand. If you just wrap the handle all the way down, cut it off, a dot of glue, and look how beautiful that bouquet is. Check out our other videos on coordinating pieces of sunflowers.
