Welcome back. What we're doing right now is we're fishing along the front side of the island. The rock probably is behind, up the island a little bit, a long point is that way. And what we're doing with Eric here is we're fishing in really tight, using trolling-motor. Just fishing really tight rocks and throwing baits like this, that's working on back, back baits and we're getting really close.
If you are not comfortable fishing this close or running the trolling-motor, don't try this type of fishing. I mean you have to have some experience and feel comfortable with your boat, and that is what we're doing here.
This is the one advantage of having a small boat, a big advantage so that you can fish spots like this. Now if we catch one nice fish here, we'll be happy. Whereas in sport boats, you've got to fish for 30-40 people, then we have to catch 300-400 fish to get everybody limit.
So Eric and I are just fishing these kind of spots. Spots that boats normally don't get inside, people don't get a fish. Surprisingly we are going to pick up a few nice fishes. And see the gear we're using, it's basically fresh water bass here, as we see custom rods and a cage in line, and then we're trying different types of baits, artificial baits.
We're just throwing it right up in the rocks, closer that you can get in the rock, closer you can get to the boulder, right in the white water. That is where the fishes are holding.
