For this week's tip of the week, I want to talk to you a little about what we're doing out here today at the island. Fishing with live squid -- when you fish with live squid, you have got these larger hooks. You need to go with a dropper loop rig, sliding egg rig, but what I like to use is a lead head. This particular model here is a one ounce.
When you are fishing for the calico of course, you can go as live as half ounce to one ounce, for the white seabass or yellowtails, you should go at least 2 ounce lead head.
And what we do is go ahead and grab a live squid out of the well here and when you pin it on, you want to go right up here to the tip, once and twice. Just like that. And that's the way it should look. That's a live squid rigged for fishing calico bass, yellowtail, white seabass.
Well, that's this week's tip of the week. I want to thank everybody about the Eldorado, our skipper Eddie, Steve the owner of the boat and all the crew here. Everybody did a great job. I hope all of you at home enjoyed this week's episode of sport fishing and I hope you join us again next week, as we go looking for more of the bass in Sportfishing.
