Craig Brooks: Thanks you very much.
Today we are talking about shoulder pads, so lets get right in to kid comes home they had look on new equipment as a father you might be a little concise with whether the kids are in right you are how do you make sure that benefited properly for shoulder pads.
Craig Brooks: well shoulder pads are probably the easiest to fit of all the equipment. But they do need to fit properly. Basically the biggest thing you want to check forward is that is that’s a proper amount of shoulder coverage you have on your child. When you put this on the child, you would want to look and make sure that this primary pad, the pad that actually sits on a shoulder not this exposed part over here. Covers up expose bone in your shoulder. Most people most any child or even at door you can feel and exposed bone about here in the shoulder. You want this to hang over that Childs shoulder about a half an inch. You could play a little bit in and a little bit outside of that, but about a half an inches safe. Basically that keeps this pad from coming down and pinching the child’s shoulder and causing damage.

Craig Books: The other once you get once you have problem the width then you

Craig Brooks: well, definitely, at the young age the more time is not you want to just a get good standard pad. They are all some skew position pads, quarter back pads, and some morning back pads, more times are not its say the 1000, 1200; just too standard pad is fine. You know there are few extra ones, and I am sure make to couple that are specific to position, but again the coverage and just the size of the child he manipulate just go with something standard.
Host: What about the accessories as we see all these different types of like this they what is this they here?
Craig Brooks: This is actually a rib pad, you will find that there is lot different pads its going to attach to the shoulder pads, this rib pad is would fit around the child, basically here, finally more than that but its basically just going to cover, the spine as well as the ribs. Lot of time you see people putting this on and they haven’t to low I think they are suppose to protect the weight on here is not a waist protector and is a rib protector, so that’s set kind of high on the child. These will often times, this will come with strap were you can wear like an west more time is not which ever you want to do is actually screwed in to this shoulder pad and more shoulder pads come already pre drilled with holds screw that in, you find back place with two strap or two holes some will want more shoulder pads where have to so they can adopt it for any other.
Host: All right.
Craig Books: Another item that you may be introduce a lot of running backs you will see and I am going to wear back plates basically we are talking about the same thing, as the rib protector who without the side attachments. Attaches the same just covers the spine from so many real hit any back entrance.
Host: All right, and what is this were looking like this? It’s Kind of same but I don’t think is the same.
Craig Brooks: Well that is actually very similar to a back plate, however is this is just goes for the front. This is the starting plate. So you have a child that really loves these shoulder pads he is slightly build chested, or sternum is just longer than the most children with this shoulder width. You can actually attach this, the same way is you would attach the back plate, to the front and it gives you a little more protection on the front of the child, biggest the easiest way to spot it is has to have the grows for those T hooks that we spoke if the second go to were you can attach the T hooks to the sternum plate as pose to the shoulder pad.
Host: What’s the benefit of attaching in there’s?
Craig Brooks: Well its going to hold it down it’s not going to blow up and slip up and your body allow your what you are wear.
Host: And how you called this something different what I have always got it? I had the wear these when I was playing we call them as butter pads, what they are called?
Craig Brooks: That’s called shoulder entry pads.
Host: Well, I can’t understand any foot ball player would not cover him shoulder injury pads that my facts
Craig Brooks: well its make a lot more sense to me.
Host: It doesn’t make more sense.
Craig Brooks: May be I guess low cool to say it’s a better pad.
Host: What we are doing is that what we are sure to getting as what ever is the quickest to come around on our mouth that’s what we are going come on.
Craig Brooks: Yeah, this pad actually fits over the shoulders underneath the shoulder pad like this and then of course its going to fold down , this is just got if say your child is had some kind of shoulder or clavicle injury, this something that made with doctor is going to recommend to them this is actually an adult one-inch shoulder injury pad, I would -- that whereas usually you ever going to see a 12-year-old and 11 year wearing something this is large, but they make this down to half inch and they make common youth sizes again some thing that I would definitely use after an entry not something that you need to you just over pad your child, is throw is stuff on them.
