How to Fix Fine Lines on Nvidia

Hi, a couple of weeks ago I did a video on some problems I’ve been experiencing with da Vinci 64 bit version and one problem I was experiencing was the fact that whenever I watched a video file. Whether it be a DVD, flv file, avi file etc. I would have 30 fine line scripts across the screen. That don’t happen all the time being the intermittent and extremely fast but they are really annoying really. It’s not a major issue but it’s just annoying, so anyway. The user called faith2black1 gave me some tips and I’d like to share this tips with you. So if you’re using an NVIDIA card like I am, hopefully this will work for you too if you’re having the same issue and I’d like to give my thanks to faith2black1 pointing out this tips to me. So what are these tips? Well basically it’s just a couple of settings you need to change on your company settings manager and the NVIDIA service settings. So what you do, firstly you go into the computer settings manager and that’s in preferences, so whether using Ubuntu or Linux Mint in the same area. So computer, settings manager and below that and then you are going to install this on Ubuntu, it will be on the Linux Mint. So when you complete setting manager, go for general options, click on that and in the top here just click on display settings, go down look for sync to be blank. And make sure that’s ticked, go there, close it down. The next stage is to go to NVIDIA service settings and administration. Again it’s a safe place in Ubuntu and this would be already installed in Ubuntu if you installed the graphic files. Here you need to go into open GL settings and again you need to put a tick against sync to be blank. Once done that, click quit then quit again. That’s all you need to do, no formal tip, the final lines for me at least have disappeared, so hopefully this tip will work for you too if you’re using an NVIDIA card and you’re having the same issues I was having.
