How to Fix a Leaky Faucet

Hi! I am here with a couple of very basic tips on how to fix a leaky faucet. Faucets are all different obviously but they do come apart. Oftentimes, when a faucet is leaking, it is simply that something needs to be tightened. It could be the hot or cold or it could be the actual end of the picket. There are washers in there; there is a screen in there. These are the things that can be replaced and then re-tightened up or just simply tightened. What you need for your tool is a C-wrench. That will solve any basic problems that you should be tackling if you are not a licensed plumber because believe me, you can make things worst. Also, there is plumber’s tape which you can purchase. If you end up really taking the faucet off, you might want to make sure that you put a little tape around the connection before resealing it or reconnecting it, in other words.

I would never stir anyone into doing anything other than a simple tighten, indoor replacement of a screen or washer when it comes to a faucet because believe me, you can turn a very small problem into a much larger problem if you do not know what you are doing but you really need the right tools. Do not go at it with the wrong tools, a C-wrench and some plumber’s tape and a replacement part, which you can get. If it is a screen or washers, those are basic and you can probably do those. If it is anything bigger than that, you need to go to the yellow pages, pick as plumber, call them or if you have one, just call your plumber because that is the smartest thing to do.
