We have a hot and cold water washer valve. Of course the red means hot and the cold is blue and what is happening here is when I open the valve see all the water drips.

You see how it is dripping there and what that is, is the packing valve and that is the valve right here on the stem or the stem valve, it is cold. I am going to turn that back off again so, you do not have a whole lot of water here. Basically, all we have to do with that is tightening this knot. So, I am going to reach over here with my pliers and get this just a little bit of tightening. Now, when you tighten this, of course, it gets a little harder to open and we probably can stop the leak. Let us take a look and see if that job has taken care of myself.

Now, we still have a little leaking. Do you see that water? Now, let us open all the way. I am going to tighten it again and see if we can stop that leak. You just got to be careful and then I will always wipe to make sure and then we just make that another little turn here. There! Let me use this right over here. So, you can see water dries above it that again is the stem valve or the packing valve and when we open and close that valve, it has a gasket in there that keeps water from running out. So, now we stop the water from running out and the job is finished, a little fifteen-second job.
