Dave Epstein: Hey! I am Dave Epstein. Welcome to growing wisdom, I am here with Dino Stigliano of earth escape and Dino is going to help me with the pond. I have major problem; I have actually had a pond and a little river and it was installed incorrectly. So now we got to fix the stream bed, so Dino tell me what is wrong with that?
Dino Stigliano: One of the problems that most people make is they put flaps within the stream bed. So when you start cutting layers what ends up happening is when the water gets to a certain point in ends up backing up and did it just loses water on the back sleeve and the other mistake is you never use plastic bags on the pond liner. And you always incase the tub up the top with the rubber continuous. So you will never loss the water going outside the pond.
Dave Epstein: So that tub area up of the top should have had that proper pond liner all the way around it. So if any water did spill over it ends up going into the stream bed then coming back down. And what are you going today to fix this?
Dino Stigliano: Were are going to roll one piece of rubber through it, put some underlain on underneath it. So the sediments on the rocks, roots come and break through the liner itself. And just carry it right through the new pond. Put some tape on it. Glue it all up, put the stones back, I am going to put some boulders in between the stream itself, foam it, so you actually get a ripple effect going all the way through like natural spring.
Dave Epstein: And it is something you personally like to do to make it look like it is more natural?
Dino Stigliano: Yeah! You got beautiful land escape throughout here, I pickup from that and I put that into the pond area.
Dave Epstein: Well I am going to let you get to work, we will check back with you in a little while see how it is coming.

Dino Stigliano: Yes! So fast so good it is better than it was, water at some boulders, make it a little wider you got bigger volume coming through now and you got many as different sounds happening.
Dave Epstein: Yeah! The sounds great, couple of waterfalls here and good to go and no more leaks, thank you very much I appreciate it is terrific, if you want to do the pond not that difficult.
