Hello again I am Bobby Ronald from 3dgameman.com, this next question is how do you fix a dead pixel. Well unfortunately, you cannot fix a dead pixel but you might be able to fix a stocked pixel. And by the way, if your LCD is still under warranty, try returning it for a replacement or something else. This is one of the reasons why I purchased LCDs from a large reputable retail chain stores like Costco, Circuit City, Best Buy, and Future Shop because they have fantastic return policies.
Now what is the difference between a dead and a stocked pixel? Dead pixels are black and stocked pixels are usually white or some other color. The first technique I would recommend you try is using a software. A couple of software programs that I am familiar with, the first one is UD pixel and the other one I really like is JScreenFix. You can visit them at www.jscreenfix.com. Now, the other two techniques could damage your LCD and possibly cost more stocked pixel. So, but I have to tell you that before telling you how to do this different techniques.
The first one is a pressure technique. All you need is a pen or a pencil not with a sharp end though ideally, a stylus pen or a tablet pen would be perfect and a dumb cloth. That is all you need, pen, a dumb cloth. Put the cloth over the pen. You got to point the object here and the cloth really is only to protect the screen from you scratching it. Look fist of all, locate the stocked pixel then turn of the screen, push on the screen with a fair amount force but not too much. You do not want again to damage the LCD or cost more pixels to be stocked. And while screen is off, keep applying pressure then turn the screen on and then release it and it should be on stock. If it is not, you can try this technique again.
The other one is a tapping technique. Now, for this, you can use this end of the sharpie marker is perfect and you can just—when the monitor is on, just tap on the stocked pixel repeatedly, again, fairly hard but not hard enough to damage or caused anymore stocked pixels and that might possibly work. Hope this answers your question and keep your questions coming.
