How to Flow Between Different Half Guard Positions

There are different variations of Half Guard as we've been discussing and in real sparring we're going to be flowing in between them, because you're not always going to be able to work what you want to work. So here's a drill that I'd like to use to teach people how to go between different positions.

At first, you're going to start just with a simple Leg Triangle. Your opponent or your partner isn't going to give you much resistance. From here I move my hips out and I insert my butterfly hook here. From here I switch to a Butterfly Guard flat on my back. It's sparring that I wouldn't stay here, because this is just a drill. From here I'm going to switch to the Half Butterfly Guard position. So I've got the Butterfly hook here and a Half Guard hook here. I'm going to move doing just a simple hook and a leg triangle that's one cycle. From here I move my hips out, insert my Half Butterfly hook, Full Butterfly and the Half Butterfly on the other side, single hook Leg Triangle and I just move back and forth here.
