How to Fold a 14 Piece Origami Star

In this video I’ll show you how to make a 14 point star. You're going to need 14 square sheets of paper. Start by folding in half to make a rectangle. Crease and then unfold. Now fold in half to make a rectangle from the other direction. Crease and then unfold. Now fold the corners of your square into the middle crease that we’ve created. From here, choose any one side and fold it in towards the middle. Now take the opposite side and also fold it in towards the middle. You should end up with something that looks kind of like a kite. Now flip this over. Fold this short end up to from a triangle. And finally fold the base corners of the triangle back along the middle crease. Okay, notice this pockets here, we’re going to use those later. We’re going to need a total of 14 of these pieces. You can watch as I make another one or skip ahead.

So when you’ve got two of these, hold each piece in exactly the same direction. Slide the two tips of one piece into the two pockets of the other piece, just like that. Alright, let’s skip ahead a bit. As you get 5 or more of these things linked together, you're going to find it’s much easier to keep the links on the table as you insert them. And there you go, we’ll just readjust things a little bit here and you're all done, you're 14 point star.
