Hi, this is Alex from Movers.com. Today I'm going to show you how to best fold a t-shirt. There are two really great methods that are going to help you fit more t-shirts into a box so that you can have less boxes and pay less for your moving company. The first methods are where that is viral on YouTube out maybe two years ago. It’s a really great method. I love using it. Do you know what the problem it’s really difficult to master? So I'm going to show you step by step what you can do to make sure that your t-shirts look as good the ones in that same video.
Begin by one of your t-shirt flat. You can actually use a polo shirt too which is what I'm using today. You have to make sure that the collar is towards your right hand, so it should be completely flat on the table and another trick, guys, get wrinkles out as you can. Next that you will do you're going into your left hand you're going to find out the half fold point of the shirt from top to the bottom, like what's here.
Move two inches in to about here and then take your right hand, put at the same location and move it right up to the top. Pinch both places so you're going to hold as tight as you can. Take your right hand and cross it right over your left hand and grab the very bottom of the shirt also about two inches in so all three pinches should be in a straight line. Then you're just going to pickup your shirt, unfold your arms and you're going to flatten the shirt down and just pull that right over. You have a pretty good t-shirt fold and we do the little adjusting and there we go so that’s pretty good so nice and flat. When you put this into a box you just put it right in and that’s it, that’s pretty next to it.
Now, supposed you have a lot of different t-shirts and you don’t really have the time to go through inch through your hands are lined up or perhaps you just can't get the fold it self, really, it’s pretty tricky. You can also use this that’s a little bit more simple. What you're going to do is you're going to take a standard t-shirt. You're going to unfold it and you're going to lay flat nice and wide. This time you're just going to take your sleeves, you're going to fold them over. So show the pretty flat. It does not have to be perfect side of the shirt and do the same on the opposite side.
It doesn’t have to perfect and what we’re going to do is you’re going to take the side of the shirt closest to you and just fold it all over so that you have kind of a flat little weird looking piece of fabric here. It doesn’t have to be t-shirt like that and what we’re going to do is we’re going to take the shirt. We're going to face the collar is very close to you and you're going to just rolling it.
You got to roll it as tightly as you can and I just want to make sure you get all the extra fabric there. You want it to be as much t-shirt as possible and it feels like a really—okay. So there you just go very tightly folded really great, what I'm going to show you now that’s what packed this. So we have our other shirt in right now and that’s fine. What you can do is just take this, I’ll just take some shirt out. You just take this and you just place it in your box stand it straight and you may have maybe five or six rolls across, four or five rolls up it’s a lot of t-shirts that you can fit in one box.
So those are two really great t-shirts fold that you can use when you're moving to help you maximize your space and minimize the number of boxes that you have. It’s going to save you money and I think it’s a lot of fun. Thanks so much for watching.
