How to Fold an Origami Paper Crane

Here I will show you how to make a traditional origami paper crane. To save time, we are going to start from the bird base. We are going to use a corner with this foot flaps as a reference point. Fold in from that corner towards the middle. You are going to need to do this to both flaps on both sides. Now take one of those flaps and turn it gently like the page of the book. We are going to take the paper from our reference point and fold up gently. It is not that important to make a strong crease just here. Now we will close that page and open the other side to do the same thing. Fold up gently. And then reclose. You will notice we have two little points sticking off. We are going to take this two points and fold them down gently. This will become the head and the tail of the crane. Once you have pulled the point down to an angle that you like, we will need to make a strong crease. Now pick a side and we will form the head. Do this by pushing down on the tip to invert the point. Lastly, we will unfold the wings by pulling down and out gently. And there you go you first paper crane. And if you believe the legends, make 999 more and you will be granted a wish.
