I download this package right here SopCast, but it’s in the 32-Bit version of Ubuntu. I’m on a 64-Bit, so if I try to install it, this package, it will say wrong architecture, right? But to force your way to install it using a 32-Bit dependencies and stuff, all you’ve got to do is open a terminal, and inside you want to type in this line, sudo dpkg dash “I” and then dash dash force all, and then you’re just going to drag in your package into the terminal And you see it shows that this is a 32-Bit DEB file right?
So you want to execute it now, and it tells you to type in your password you just do it. So it’s installing and then it’s done. It’s done so now I should be in my, so you see SopCast here. In the applications, and then here you go, SopCast TV player, you see, just install. And that’s how you install it, 32-Bit version on a 64-Bit Ubuntu. Now if you want to remove it later, it’s kind of different but similar.
Like before, the command was this right? Well now, all you’ve got to do is to remove it, let’s see, let’s fix this. The command a little different, you want to change this, the “I” to the “R” because you want to remove and for the package, you don’t use the DEB thing you use—let’s see what they’ve got, the GTK SopCast, okay so that’s what you have to type in. GTK SopCast and it should remove it. And just waiting until your—see, now we removed it right? Let’s check it if it is removed. It is removed, see, it’s gone. So that’s how you force install a 32 on a 64-Bit.
