And if you got prompted to book from the CD as we are going through here, some say press any key to book from the CD which we will, and this will initiate the install procedure. Press F6 if you want to install a third party rate driver that is what we have to do for the system built. Basically, it is loading up to some files to prepare for the installation. Right here we got a resolution notifier because it is an LCD panel, will then exit on the monitor. Let us continue for a few minutes as it pre loads some files.
Okay, here we have the first of the few choices we need to make. To set up windows XP now press enter, and we will hit F8 to agree and now it is searching for previous versions of windows we have on the machine and in fact we do have a previous install of XP and we do not want to repair this installation. Repairing is more like an over lay and it will not, truly clean your system. So, it is a good thing to just hit escape right here for do not repair to continue installing a fresh copy. So, we are going to escape.
Now, the partition one is already formatted as NTFS, we have 20 gig drive. Also, we have this impartations space that 8 megabyte, that seems to be some left over item. If we install it on this partition right now, if we hit enter to install, it is going to not format the drive, so, we definitely want it have format drive, but, we do not have any option here to format. But, we do have delete partition. So, we are going to hit the, use the arrows to highlight your current installation and we are going to hit the delete partition. These will totally blow your machines, so, you make sure you have everything back up. The partition we try to show you is, this is the system partition, and we are getting all kinds of warnings. To delete this partition, press enter. And again, to delete this partition, press L. So, it is like we have to go to two to three confirmations, so, we are going to hit now. And now, just like a brand new hard drive, we have the entire drive being un partitions space.
We have to create a partition on all partition space. So, we are going to hit C and maximum size, is of course the full size of the hard drive. You can bend to a about if you want to have multiple partitions, such as a C drive, a D drive, I just like to have one big C partition. So, we are going to leave this at the maximum, and we are going to hit enter to create, and now we have a newly defined partition and then again, we have that little 8 megabytes left over, I would not be really be concern of with that. And now, we can enter to install.
