How to Fry Fish

Female Speaker: Now this is hot enough, you see how fast that is running now. The oil is really getting almost like water. That means it is getting hot enough for us to put our fish in. If you do not know for sure, just take a little piece off and drop it inside, and see if it starts sizzling. You see how it is just sizzling a little bit. Girl: We can't take this little piece because we just kind of dropped it in there, so we could drop it in there. Female Speaker: Yeah, put it up there and see what happens. That is telling me that it is pretty hot. So I will show you the first one here. We can just leave them in whole pieces, that is okay, but I am going to see how I curve them. You want to put the next one, you want to be nice careful. I am just going to curve it, so it's going to be warm right there. The Ariel, you can through the third one in. Girl: Oh really, over here. Female Speaker: You are going to go right there. You want to make sure they are not touching one another. See that was hot, wasn't it? You got your little finger hot? It didn't burn you. So now just three, one more right there, Ariel. Put that down, beautiful. Yup, once this is in there, you just want to leave it, sit. You don't want to move it around, they will break apart. So now we are just going to let that go for a bit, get all any extra oil in there, and get rid of that. Good, leave it alone. Will you watch that? Make sure it is okay, nothing happens and I am going to pull our bread out. You guys stare it there. Oh! Look at that. Well, it did not open as much as you had wanted. Let us come back over here but it did get for the mine- they are okay but this had to be great. So I will just let this cool over your hot-hot. When this cools and it will be ready for our lunch. Okay, perfect. Okay, so now, beautiful fish. I bought something here today too. See this, this is a flipper tool but it's meant for fish. It's really, really bendable, very easy to use but also allows you to get underneath that fish. We will able to put that a little bit more easily than the big bulky ones. I just want to make sure that they are not sticking. Oh! look at that. See if they are hot enough, they are not going to stick and that is beautiful. So I want you to start with this one and then we will have Ariel - Yup! just flip it over and try to make sure this stays in the pan. Good job, looks like we can use a little bit more brown on that. So we are going to let it set for just a second Boy: This Viola! it's surely good. Female Speaker: Oh! it will be good. Then we are going to serve it with a little bit of lemon. So what is that, do you know what that is? Girl: It looks like grass. Female Speaker: It looks like grass but it is actually -- Female Speaker: This is chives, cats won't eat this. What I want you do is just use your little end of the cutting board that you have here. Well, you can share with her. I just need a couple pieces cut off, there you go. Good, you want to put this second one on here. Just turn it over right in the middle, very nice. It is okay, if they break apart too.
