Today, I want to share a quick tip with you about how you go about getting or obtaining custom graphics, custom designs for someone like client’s projects. Sometimes, they request something that is very elaborate, maybe floral with a lot of zigzags every where and very colorful, very contemporary.
And to be honest, I am not the most creative person in the world. In fact, I am probably half as frustrated as you are. Your, probably, goal was practicing as I did but if you are not that creative or maybe you are thinking war, I will share this quick tip with you.
I liked to visit this web site called “vecteezy.” You can actually go to vecteezy.com and even they kind of make fun with their name as you can see on their logos says vecteezy stupid name, cool vectors.
Well, vecteezy is the web site where a lot of individual, very creative individuals uploads some of their vectorized work, some of their vectorized graphics. It is a very colorful, very professionally done and you can see some of their work on the home page and there is so much that you can choose from and usually I have no problem finding stuff for the projects that I have. You can see all the graphics that they have on their home page and in their gallery and I think they have right now, they have over 15 pages with those stuff.
You click down any one of these images and let me choose the nice one. For example, let me show you that I have used before. This is Nokia. The Nokia cell phone, you see Nokia N70 black edition. This is in Adobe illustrator. It is vectorized, you can preview it and usually an image will come up, kind of show you what it looks like. I have used this before. I have already downloaded it.
For example, show what it looks like when I open it up in Adobe illustrator and it is all vectorized. You can take any little component, part of the design and you can resize it any way you want. You can place it any way you want. Again, it is vectorized. It is all outlined so it is not going to fix a light on you. So, it looks very professional and I will show you where I have used it in my web site on the requested full page of KandoMedia.com. instead of pop-up. It is a little bit slow today.
Here we go, when I had and I have created this background for my own web site, I knew I want a phone in there next to the piece of paper but I do not know how to create a phone so thanks to vecteezy, I was able to find this Nokia one and it is perfect for me. I want to go download it and I used it in my own design but that is as much for today.
Go ahead, look for vecteezy.com, download some of their files, you mess around with them. Usually, what I like to do is I like to take components from different designs and mess them up together so that in the end it looks something completely different. It looks something original that I have done. This will save you a lot of time. Again, I have always been told “work smarter, not harder” Go to vecteezy or Google free vector art and you will find a lot of this kind of files that you can use in your own web site.
