I am Steve Turano. Welcome to this episode of Body Performance. A lot of people want a six pack abs or a flat stomach, okay and they ask a lot of questions about it. Hey, how do I do this? What kind of sit ups do I need to do? How many crunches a day should I be doing? This is the wrong mindset. Unfortunately, they see this advertise on some TV selling gadgets or gizmo’s telling you can have a flat stomach or a six pack in two minutes a day. This is all wrong and I will tell you why. Sit ups is anaerobic. It burns sugar. How do we know that? Will you do it? It burns, it builds up lactic acid and feel it burn in your stomach.
You can not do sit ups indefinitely. You can not do them long enough to burn enough fat where you see your abdominals. How do you get a six pack of abs? If you see anybody with the six pack or great stomach, they typically have very low body fat so what you and I have to do is we have to remove the body fat from our body. How do we do this? Cardio and diet so a great set of abs comes from lots of Cardio and dieting, lowering the amount of body fat, we have on our body and subsequently our stomachs that will allow you to see your abdominals, It is not sit ups, it is not doing the right sit ups. It is not doing sit ups in the correct sequence. Sit ups has nothing to do with it. If you just diet and did lots of Cardio you will begin to see you abdominals even if you did not do sit ups.
