Hi YouTube, the iPod Touch 2G gig here. And in this one, I’m going to show you how you can get Installer for your iPod Touch Second Generation jailbroken.
Now, as you all probably know, I believed they’ve already come out with another jailbreak for the Second Gen to get Installer and Cydia. But, in case you don’t have that like me, you can get it very easily. All you need to do is open up Cydia, and wait for it to load.
And once it loads, go into Manage and then Sources. Now you’re going to need to add a source. The source is SOS iPhone Cydia. The link is http://– you all know that–cy.sosiphone.com. Right here, open that in the video description to your right in case you didn’t catch that. And once you add that, just go into Search and you are going to search for Installer. And it should be there, Installer from SOS iPhone Cydia System. Go ahead and select it.
Now be careful, it does give you some mourning. It says, this will delete your original copy of Installer 4 now. Obviously, if you already have install you won’t be doing this. I think that’s pretty much it. So you’re going to go ahead and select Install and Confirm. And it shouldn’t take that long at all, alright. You’ll be surprised to how quickly it does. So it did that about five to ten seconds.
So let it reload the data. And once it done, you don’t need a reboot. You don’t need to restart your springboard, nothing right. All you need to do is go and press the Home button to get back to your springboard. So let it finish loading up in the task or type of thing right up here. Make sure until that loading sign is gone. So when it’s gone, you can go and press–you can go ahead and press the Home button. And there you go, Installer 4.0 on your jailbroken iPod Touch Second Generation.
So let me just show you that it works. And there you go, Installer right there on your jailbroken iPod Touch Second Generation. Now this is 4.0, it is still innovative so you know you’re not going to have that many applications on it. But you know, you’re still going to have you know quite a lot. Definitely not as much as Cydia, you know Cydia has pretty much taken over. So if you want Installer, here it is. You still got all these applications, these are all the features. You still got your categories, search, sources, tasks.
So if you want sources for you know Installer 4.0, just go ahead into Google and search Installer 4.0 sources, right. Now I will put the ones that I know of, 4.0 in the link–I’m sorry in the video description to your right. So you can copy of those if you want and put them all in here. You don’t need to though but if you want to, I’ll put them all in there. I won’t be updating it right. So right now, Friday, February 20, 2009 so you know, there is likely going to be more and more sources that will be added to Installer 4.0 but I won’t be updating that right. I just don’t have the time.
Now every time you want to install something from there, all you need to do is look up sources for–Installer 4.0 and you’ll get them. Alright, that’s all you need to do.
