Host: Hey everyone, so for this session of Ask a Beauty Guru we’re going to talk about blackheads and smaller pores. Now, what I know with you is about like ones or twice a week. I try to clean up my pores by using a couple of mask. You’ve seen the one that I’ve used, the Naris Up, this mask. This one here is like an essence that you apply to your nose area wherever you want the mask on and then this is a black mask that you put on and it is sticky and dries up so that you can peel it off. Without the essence it would hurt a little bit more if you don’t put this one on and then you can see since it’s black. You can see the blackheads being pulled off. So this is what I use.
I’ve also picked up, I’ve had this before the Naris up and this is the eggshell one. This I’ve got from Mitsuwa in New Jersey and then I also have this white mud mask that I got from the face shop. So that we could tell I was able to catch Catalina’s blog TV show. And all day she talked about this procedure that she used to remove blackheads. So I’ve enlisted her help to demonstrate to you guys on how that’s done. I can see a more thorough way to remove blackheads and here she goes.
Catalina: Hello everyone, welcome. This is a video for now and I’m going to show you guys how I get rid of my blackheads. The ingredients are pretty straightforward, first you’ll need a little bit of honey and then an organic egg, a towel, flour, and you need a mud mask. Now, this is like the hardest thing to get and I went to Joy and Reed and CDS in Walgreen’s and do you remember that drugstores then have these mud mask or what not back in the day like early 2000s but I try to look for it and they don’t have it anymore so I think the best thing you can do is either go to places like Ricky’s or Sally’s and try to see if they actually do have anything like a mud mask, something that hardens on your face. And if you can’t get it you can always order that things online. It’s pretty cheap nowadays. So I’m using this, that’s the mud mask to use as like a hardener on my face and you need toilet paper.
And this is optional but I have a special packed brush that I got from Korea and you don’t really need this. If you don’t have it you don’t have to worry about it. This is just a brush. You can just apply everything with your hands. So let’s get started.
Alright, first thing you have to do is you have to separate the egg yolk and the egg white. So always remember to wash the egg first when it’s pretty dirty. We’ll only going to use the egg white actually. Okay, now with the mud mask, we’ll just scoop up a bit with the flour. What we’re going to do is we’re just going to use a clean tiny bit of flour, just so it could get a little bit pasty.
Now, we’re going to use honey and don’t put too much honey into because honey actually drops into moisture and if you put too much in it then it’s going to get all watery and it won’t actually adhere to your skin very well, so just a little bit. Alright, cool.
Now, what you have to do is mix the thing off. Alright, that’s the consistency that we want. Then let’s leave if for a while. Now, what we’re going to do is use the towel and soak it in a steaming hot water. It doesn’t have to be boiling hot and squeeze that towel and put it in your face so it could actually open the pores a little bit more. Control the water, it’s really hot. Be careful not to burn yourself.
Now with the hot towel, all you have to do is put it in your face right here so it can open up your pored a bit but don’t do it too hot because it’s going to damage your skin, just about a minute or two would be totally fine. Okay, after that’s done, just put this as it is wet into your freezer so we could use it later.
Okay, now using the brush that I actually have and the egg white, what we’re going to do is apply it upwards along the area where you want your blackheads eliminated. Now, you don’t have to make it drippy, just make sure you cover all the area you want and wait for a minute or two. Now, this thing is going to get hard on your face really quickly and when you get that like stretchy feeling and that’s when you have to apply another coat. We’re going to do this six or seven times so it’s going to take about 10 minutes to actually finish this step.
So when you’re doing this, you could get ready for the next step. What you could do is you could grab your roll of toilet paper and get like, probably like thereof the squares and just cut them apart, separate them I mean and what you could do is you could cut them again in half, we’re going to need them like that. And we’ll then use this later.
Okay guys, I applied my seventh layer right now and it’s still kind of wet. On your last layer what you really have to do is wait until the egg white gets really, really hard and you could see like the edges crackling up. You have to wait until then.
Alright, my egg has completely dried and I could only move my mouth, you kind of see and my face goes really uncomfortable. If you could see these are like the hardening parts like the edges and that’s exactly what you want.
What I’m going to do is I’m just going to get with my hands and apply it on top the egg white. Now be sure to apply it evenly and don’t leave like a hole or something like that. Then try to apply it over the hardened egg white. Be sure it doesn’t go into your eye or too close to your eyes. Now, before the mask starts drying up what we’re going to do is use the tissues that we ripped out earlier and just try to measure how much toilet paper you need and all you have to do is paste it on your mud packs so this way later on when your mudpack actually starts going dry it clings out to the tissue and it just makes everything if you pull off I guess.
Now, the nose here, don’t forget the nose. I know this looks super weird. Alright, so right now is 4:02 PM and I’m going to wait for an hour for it to be completely dry on my face and then I’ll show you guys how to take this off. Alright, I’ll see you guys at 5:02 or so. And by the way just remember just try busying your time for an hour like watching through videos or what not. See you at 5:00
So it’s been a little one hour and now my face is kind of hard. If you guys are using something else other than mask clay that would be better and all you have to do is these tissues are pretty much like stocked to the mask so turn it out, don’t turn out like this. And turn it from the bottom part like one, two, three, four, five, don’t just like rip it off your face, okay.
I used the wrong tissue so mine is too weak to just pull wide the tissue where you can see it’s kind of packing up but your could slowly peel this off and that way your blackheads would be stocked to the mask and you could have a clear face. Now after we’re done with this what we’re going to do is remember that towel that we put into the freezer, that must have been icy cold and just take it out and put it on your face in that way it will make your pores shrink and it won’t leave it open.
Okay, I know this looks okay but I’m just going to wash my face before it’s too late. Alright, this is the towel I put on the freezer. See how hard it is, all nice hard and really cool. So just put it like around your face to tighten up your pores.
Okay, after you’ve used them just a few—if you want to wash your face one more time you could but I only recommend doing so and just put all the moisturizers so your face doesn’t dry up and you’re done.
Host: So I hope this video was helpful for you guys. Just let me know of this if you have any questions. I’ll talk to you later. Bye.
