What's up? I am Sheila and you are watching Bling for the Broke. Today we are going to talk about skinny jeans.
I don't know if you, like me, maybe got sucked into that whole designer jeans craze a while back, like the Citizens, True Religion, 7 Jeans, Black Hole. You really don't have to spend away a $100 or $200 every time you want a new pair of jeans. So skinny jeans are the easiest jeans to fake, because they are of pretty much uniform cut regardless of whether you get them from a place like Forever 21, where I got my jeans for $12, or whether you've got them from Barneys or Bergdorf's or some super high-end luxury store.
Levi's knows what's up; this pair of jeans $70 and totally awesome. And Levi's has been doing this since 1873. So clearly, he knows what's up. The ultra-low jeans come in a bunch of different washes and they are all kind of uniformly low fitting, stretchy, they have got a little bit of Lycra, so they are not going to like stretch out and turn into just like this pile of useless getup after you wear them a couple of times.
Next, so if you are thinking about getting into colored jeans, which is a huge trend right now, I mean these pants are pretty awesome, right? Purple, zippers, what's not to love? But of course in maybe a year, you might not want to wear these anymore. So that's why a place Ben Sherman who have these on sale for $40 is a great place to go. Go to Banana Republic, go to Express, go to any of these big retail stores right now that may be didn't have great deals going on a couple of months ago.
Hey! We are in a recession, everything is on sale. Go and pick up like a really cool funky pair of pants for much less than you would normally pay. And if you are really addicted to designer jeans like kind of them, get them for cheap. Go to Marshall's, go to T.J. Maxx, go to bluefly.com, get styles that you that you wear and that you love, like for so much cheaper. And it's a recession and everything is on sale.
So there is really no reason to not shop for jeans right now. But that's just my advice. I want to know what you guys think. So hit me up at sheila@blingforbroke.com or post your comment in the Comments section below and tell me where you go to get jeans for under a $100. We will post your comments next week when we come back with our next episode. That's it for now. See you soon.
