How Can I Get The Best Value From A Spa?
Celeste Hilling: Just know what you want ahead of time. I think most people show up at a spa and they say, "Hey, what do you have? What's your best treatment? What are most people do when you are at the spa?" And what you really want to do is you want to think ahead of time. What do I want to get out of this treatment? What do I want to get out of this experience today?
So, for example, if I am concerned about de-stressing then I am going to think do I have a lot of stress in my back, do I carry it in my neck, what kind of treatments do you have that are going to focus on my back and my neck? And know what your key parameters are, not what the most popular treatment is because that may not be valuable to you.
The other is if you are going to get facial treatment, it is even more imperative. Body work is one thing because it is about someone laying hands on you and it is important for them to be certified and have good touch but when you go that extra mile with skin care in addition to the manipulation with the hands and you want to know what are they using on me, you know, what is the quality of the product? Is it going to create the outcome I want because usually with facial experiences I do not want just de-stressing. I also want to get off the table and look like something actually happened for what I spent.
So, am I going to get a transformation like experience? If so, how does that happen? So I think that is where you have to know and be armed with the questions. Ask for a tour. Look at the property ahead of time. You will know what they are able to do and are they certified in the products that they carry?
