The legs also, you can part because they are obviously being gone through. They are nice and not free and clean and again just to take about a quarter of an inch of the leg and just keep layering it as far round as you can on the leg that’s on the top. When you got as far round as you can, work on the leg that’s underneath, doing exactly the same, going round as far as you can while the dog is lying in this position.
The next layer and when the dogs turned over, you repeat it the alternate way and again when she’s standing we’ll be able to trim around the toes. As we have taken the ends off the coat as much as we can do while she’s on the line position, now we finish just putting the finishing touches to the grooming and brushing and trimming before she goes into the ring. The hoax we can take down the hawk, the tiniest little bit just underneath the ends before we actually go round the toe which is exactly the same in the pet as it is in the show dog. Just tidy it up so they are not walking on the coat as it gets cut off and because we’re just taking the edges off, it does make the hawks fluff nicer and they do stay in place a little better.
The next thing we take the ends off here but we could perhaps fill with just a little tiny bit more to make their eyes so again while she stood, just brush her into show position and take the tiniest bit more we can afford to loose off there. Here on the stifle, just make a little neater line and again because we’re only taking the tiniest bit, we just have to take this rough edges off but making it just look a little bit thicker. We then need to have a look under her tummy and under her chest, which again we take the slightest, bit off, but we can still loose a little bit more. Again, just giving a neater line, the front legs if you remember we went all the way round. There still is quite a lot of coat on those front legs and as with most bobtails a little bit of discoloration that we can afford to take a little bit more off there.
If you remember, we want all the way around the legs alternately so every bit of the leg should have a little bit taken off and again it just makes it fluff out a little bit better. Now on the front of the dog, okay just take the ends to neat out the chest coat. We also as in the pet and the puppy need to take the tiniest little bit from around the feet back and front. On this ways to get inside you just lift the leg and you can do it pass the dog in the standing position. It’s easier to do when they stood rather than lying down, just take it in a nice circular cut.
