I found the video's on grooming the westie very good .They have taught me that althought i thought i was doing a very good job on my little dog .In actual fact i wasnt But i will in future

How to Groom the Nails - West Highland White Terrier

Wester’s are really are little bit anti-nail trimming. Hold the foot very firmly. Push the nail out and hold the clippers upwards and trim just the very, very tips. This actually are quite sharp, I don’t need a lot of it at all. The nail is too long if when you put the foot down, the nail is actually touching the floor. I think you can see they aren’t.
