This groomer is extremely insensitive to the dog. I would fire him if I saw him handle my dog this way!

Thanks for the video. Can you recommend some thinning shears? There are so many to choose from, different sizes and prices. Which ones is he using for the soft coated wheaten terrier? Thanks, Eli zabeth

I groom my wheaten my self and she never stays that still. One of the best video's I've seen yet for grooming a Wheaten. Although, I do prefer the puppy cut. Just wondering, are you using thinning shears?

How to Groom the Neck - Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

Lift the head, always comb when it doesn’t look right. Always comb it and then follow the jaw line and then make your neck line. Keep on combing the hair forward, separately from the neck. Always comb out when you're thin. Lift the head again, and the head up. You don’t need to hold this tight—when it’s used to it will keep quite still. Take it down gradually so you get the same shape as the other side. Comb it out, any pieces of that look that it shouldn’t be there, just nip them out. The length of jaw with one full hand and just remove the end of the hair. Then look at your dog from the front and make sure it’s balanced. You don’t want a football head, you don’t to be elongated and reveal eyes. You want to be able to make a nice neat pattern with the scissor so the dog is appealing to the look. While you’re there, pull the head up and take the jaw away and the neckline. Always go back and check your both sides that you're not too thick on one side.
