I am here next to my well of roll up Blueberry Bushes. Now Blueberry Bushes are some of the easiest fruiting plants to grow.
Basically you do not really even need to pay a lot of attention to them. You do not really need to prune them. They really pretty much take care of themselves.
I already have little Blueberries beginning to grow.
Now if you are somebody who is very impatient and does not want to weight a couple of years for their grapes to grow or for apples to come on their apple trees, Blueberries are the plant for you because pretty much right away, they will start bearing fruit.
What I am doing right now is I am just weeding. That is basically all I really have to do with my Blueberries.
As I weed, I save my weeds and give them to my rabbits.
Now for some people, weeding is a chore. For me it is not really a chore, it is actually ends up being a pretty peaceful time for me, a time where I can just be quiet and a time where I can check out my plants and just talk to him.
You got to talk to your plants, if you heard that before?
Well, it is true, and you got to tell them they are beautiful. You got to tell them thank you.
You got to really make sure that you spend sometime with them.
You will definitely noticed the difference if you talk to your plants.
So Blueberries want acidic soil. They grow really, really well next to pine tress. So what I have done is any time my pine trees sheds its needles, I collect the branch and put it around my Blueberry Bushes. That basically supplements the soil to make it more acidic.
I am Patti the Garden Girl from my fruit orchard in Roxbury, Massachusetts for farmasominac.com.
Thanks for watching.
