You want a really nice accent tree? The weeping flowering cherry is a really nice one for you. Now, this one is a double flowering cherry. It is Kekuhi Shodery flowering cherry and I apologize to anybody who has totally ruin the pronouncing of this but it is really great tree because it has his deep flowers that sort of drip out.
Now, there is a couple of things you need to know about flowering cherry. They need to be in full sun, If you are planning on putting them in shade there are not going to work. They need the sun or else they are going to get disease.
The other thing they need is good rich soil but well drain. So that is the other thing.
If you are getting a weeping variety, here is a really important fact.
If you are looking at the graft of these weeping tress as they graft from high on this trees, so the bottom part is actually a totally different tree than the top part.
Now, if you let these lower branches take off, what you will ended up having is a very strong bigger vigorous tree growing right through your weeping tree and it will ruin their effects. So if you see anything like this, just stick your thumb of your fingers and just break then off.
And then once are all gone, you will going to have a very strong tree and something that you are going to enjoy for years.
