I planted some star jasmine along a fence. They were doing beautifully but all of a sudden something started to cut the vines. I thought it might be a rodent but the cut is so clean. Do you have any idea what this could be?

I have planted a star jasmine in a container. What are your recommendations for overwintering in zone 6?

I am looking to plant a star Jasmine along a fence line. However I live in Northern Utah. I understand the Star Jasmine is not very cold hardy. Can I grow in cold winter climate.

I agree, you didnt say how to grow it, can it handle the texas heat, humidity and sun?Does it need shade? How often do you water it?When do you fertilize it?How do you trim it?I have two of them, a small one in a pot and it seems to be doing ok.But the one i planted doesnt seem to be happy any place i plant it.It is droopy, even the leaves. What does it need?

Your video didn't mention whether to plant in shade or full sun.

Gord, thanks so much for this - it answered all my questions! I recently moved to Houston, Texas and fell in love with the star jasmine that grows everywhere - so I bought a 5 foot staked vine to grow on my fence. It's good to know it requires so little care, and it sounds like it will be providing that gorgeous scent and filling up my otherwise ugly fence in no time.
