How to Hand strip the Legs - Cairn Terrier

So what I like to do is to achieve this sort of shape, is to put the comb so. I want the hair wider here at the elbow, tapering in to the back of the foot there. So what you can do, lift the hair once again, take out the excess but don’t remove too much of the leg hair. I hate seeing these dogs going around and they remind me of matchstick men. Leave some hair on the legs, don’t take it all out.

You can see it’s quite dead. It does come out quite easily. He’s not in--well hardly any distress whatsoever. Lift the hair up, just take those hairs that are a little bit too long. We don’t want them. Remember I'm working from over the top of the dog, you would be able to move around.

See what I need to do is to aim at that particular shape. So what I need is to bring the hair like so, all these longer hairs, as you can see, take them out so. Now I think that blends in nicely.
