I hope you model regardless of your experience listen to Cristina's video here and catch the key point. Even if you use or sign with an agency, "YOU" are still are going to have to do some work yourself. So bear in mind of just what it is worth dollar wise to have someone take 20% of your earnings to book you a job when you still have to do part of the footwork yourself! Here at Devious Designs, we seek long term relationship with our models. We don't need up dated photos as most like and see it a waste of money. If we used you before, we know what you look like and can do. Make sense? However if you change your hair color, gain or lose weight, etc. Then yes, we need to know about it as it may effect our project. Now if you are mass marketing yourself and don't have a contract assignment with any one firm, then YES, it is a good idea to keep your portfolio current. One mistake we see is model stating they no longer accept TFP/TFCD. This will keep your port current! Devious D

Female: One thing is to be responsible for their agencies. We called them with the casting. And you will say you can do and we confirm you with the client and then you do not show up. It is kind of showing him to a doctor’s appointment because they are waiting for you to schedule you in. We have lost that time that so another model that could have done. So just being responsible and just updating when people do not update their pictures. It is hard to work with them because after awhile all your clients are seen the same pictures. They are getting tired of that. Cristina: Well a lot of models think, “Wow, I am with an agency so they will take care of it or they will tell me”. But I find it like look at all these models that you have. Female: Well, it is not only us. It is a team effort. It is not what I can do for you so that we can do together. Cristina: Exactly, right. So like you said, it is a team effort. Female: Yes, so I do not think a lot of them do not understand anything like, “Oh I need you to do this for me. I need this, I need this”.
