Halla: Hello everyone, Halla with information leak going to really quick tutorial, how to hide an icon for example Xchat in the system tray, It's a very simple. Most system trays are full of crap, if you have it like this you know some who those I'm say 8 out of 10 and I would also say that 8 out of 10 people whose system is full of crap, don't know what's even in there and don't know what the icons used for. So someone asked if you could out explain it will quick with this tutorial. So for example I'm going to make Xchat hidden.
So all we do is right click on the bar and go to properties. Once properties opens up looks like this, we are going to click hide inactive items, make sure that's checked and I'm going to click customize. These are all the things we are going on here, so I'm going take Xchat and I'm going to turn it to always hide and I'm gonna click ok and I'm gonna apply that.
Once that applies I'm gonna click ok, and as you can see already, it's already hidden that it. So yeah great, so now at this point that's all well and good but. Here just click this in and you can see it well. what if you don't want that to happen, well you can go into the registry and disable all of these from even showing up and how you do that, when you go to start, run type regedit and click ok, that opens up your registry now, I have already playing around here little bit. So what you do is you would go to the current user and then you go to software, this isn't easy to do with this smaller screen that have setup few guys you can say. Here we go software and once we go into software, we go to Microsoft it should be down here somewhere Microsoft and another one Microsoft's you can see, we will go to windows which is right here open up windows. At this point we go to current version which is right and we go to policies, could somewhere right up, here it is policies and once we are in policies we go to explorer.
Now if you look on right is a bunch of different things going on right here. OK, now what you would do is you would creat a new key, ooh not a new key. You would creat a new DWORD value, OK and you would name DWORD value No Tray Items Display OK. Just like that and you would modify it, see here and value data is zero meaning nothing, set it to one and that's it. Click OK restart the computer and you all set. Once you reset it since for you if, you know it's got a understand that you want those setting to take effect. So, once you reset the computer these should be gone. If I restart the computer this video ends. So I guess you will have to try it. If you don't want it. If you decide it's not for you, simply go back to the original thing take this and straight up set it to zero or delete it, are you sure to you and that's it, deliver to it. Hope you enjoyed today tutorial Halla from information leak signing off until next time -- system.
