Joe here, we've got this short, but simple wedge shot, it's about 50 yards. I want you to first use your most lofted club. Then I'm going to show you how to set up properly.
The first thing we're going to do is make sure that the ball position is forward in our stance, just a little bit. It's going to look like this, just about right here.
Secondly, we're going to make sure that we're going to open up a little bit to our target, so you're going to feel like you're aiming a little bit left.
Third, you want to make sure that your weights are on your front foot and you want to keep your weight on your front foot throughout the swing, so it's going to start on your front foot and you're going to finish on your front foot.
Also, you're going to make sure that the backswing is a little bit shorter than the follow through. Okay, backswing is going to be a little bit shorter than the follow through. Here's how it works.
You're going to set up, make sure the ball position is going to be a little bit forward in your stance. You want to make sure that your weight is on your front foot. You want to be a little bit open to the target. Then your backswing, again, is going to be a little bit shorter than your follow through.
