How to Host a Wine Party on a Budget

Jill Davie: One of the most fun parties you can have is a wine party. Here’s a great way to have a wine party, go with a fun twist. As any wine expert and they’ll tell you there are many really good wines under $20.00. When you go to a wine shop, be sure to discuss your budget with the sales person. And have him suggest a bottle that fits your price range. Try and learn as much as possible about the wine. Things like the great type, the origin, the flavor profile and the aging process.

Now what you can educate the other guys about the wine. As a host, be sure to provide plenty of foods that compliment several different types of wines. Like a variety of cheeses, maybe some pureed meats, vegetable dips, and of course don’t forget, the bread and crackers. Here is to a relaxing and comfortable way to learn about wine.
