How to Hunt for an Apartment in New York City

Hi, I am Jeff Goldman and I am a native New Yorker, I was born here and raised in Manhattan. I give advice to young people thinking about or living in New York City, survival tips, such as one, if you want to research some of the neighborhoods you want to live in, contact the local police precincts and find out about neighborhoods. Use the internet for that. Craig’s List is great. Number two, if you want to work for a company, do not just apply online, call the people directly. Call the Human Resources Department and add that personal touch. Number thee is if you want to know what is like to live in New York, call your friends and family or myself who live in New York and can give you advice when you are a little nervous about moving to New York.
