Kitty: My name is Kitty. I'm from Lansing, Michigan. My question is how can anyone tell they have Parkinson's disease? David Charles: Thanks Kitty. The best way to tell if someone has Parkinson's disease is of course to see your physician and more than likely, see a neurologist as well. Parkinson's disease is not one of those conditions that we have a test for, can't draw someone's blood and learn that they have Parkinson's disease from the result of the test. The diagnosis is made by the physician listening to the symptoms that the person has been experiencing and then the examination and how the person responds to the medications over time.
